How to View the Bandwidth Usage of a Website in Cpanel

Bandwidth is the measure of the consumed data resources of a website. Bandwidth is expressed in bit per second or kilobyte per second or megabyte per second. For example, a 56K modem that can work at 56,000 bytes per second has twice the bandwidth of a modem that works at 28,000 bps. Higher bandwidth indicates that the more pages or files on the domain were loaded by the visitors. High bandwidth consumption generally happens when your website is has many visitors.

Bandwidth is the consumed bandwidth that occurs as a result of a successful data transfer. In web hosting, bandwidth is the amount of data that is being transferred from the server to the webpage. An amount of bandwidth is consumed when a user load a webpage, image or multimedia files that is hosted on your server.

To view the bandwidth usage of a website in cPanel, follow the instructions below:


  • On the homepage of your cPanel account, click Bandwidth.

  • Click on Click to Show to view the bandwidth usage in pie.
  • To view the bandwidth usage for the particular domain, click on the domain name.
