How to Use Chia Seeds

Chia seeds have been a main food for the people of the Aztec and Mayan cultures. These chia seeds are now being used widely around the world due to its high protein and medicinal value. These chia seeds are very small white and black seeds. These seeds are now very popular because of their high medicinal and healthy benefits.

Chia seeds are termed to be super food, because they contain twice the amount of proteins than other cereals and grains. And it contains thrice higher antioxidants than blueberries. And it possesses five-time higher calcium than milk and contains twice amount of potassium than a banana. And contains three times higher amount of iron than spinach and also it highly contain Omega 3 and also contain Omega 6 fatty acids and contains high traces of boron. That it is essential in transferring high calcium to teeth and bones.

  • We can taste chia seeds by preparing the dish with chia seeds or we can add it some of the dishes that we usually take. Some the preparations using chia seeds are, most of the people who know the importance of these seeds they prefer to take grain free diet. Chia seeds provide subtle taste so you can mix them to anything that you consume daily. They will only provide you nutrients and it doesn’t alter your dishes flavor.
  • You can drink these seeds by putting them in the beverages that you are having. That may be anything coffee, juices, tea etc. after putting in the drink allow it for 3 to 4 minutes that have to soak, if you let that drink for longer it will become as a gel you taste it spoonful by without alter in the taste. You can also refrigerate this gel and taste it later. If you are taking salads then sprinkle these chia seeds on it and take it, you can also mix these seeds with the yogurt also and also sprinkle over fish, hot soup…etc. the most common way of consuming chia seeds were soaking them with water and consuming it.
  • It absorbs water quickly, take certain amount of chia seeds in the container add 1/3 of water to it the seeds absorbs the water in 10 to 15 minutes and forms the gel that you can taste it whenever you want to take it. The chia seeds are best choice for gluten free and cereal free diet.
