How to Make Low Carb Spicy Chia Pudding

If you remember the famous Chia pets, then you have some knowledge of Chia seeds. These seeds are not commonly known to be edible. But, they are. Not only are they edible, but they are very nutritious and serve far more uses than growing Chia Pets. When you are on a low carb diets these Chia seeds can be a great option for you. Chia seeds can be made into a desert that is similar to beard pudding. Here is how you can make a low carb spicy chia pudding. Read on.


Things You’ll Need:


  • 2 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup sugar-free Da Vinci Amaretto syrup
  • 2 teaspoons powdered erythritol
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup ground chia seeds


  • 1 tablespoon salted butter
  • 1 tablespoon powdered erythritol
  • 1/2 teaspoon Fiberfit liquid
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla
  • Pinch of salt
  • Oil or spray for greasing bowl
  • Microwave oven
  • Microwave-safe bowl (about 2 cups)
  • 2 small microwave-safe mixing bowls
  • Whisk
  • 1 or 2 mixing spoons
  • Saucer for serving

Step 1

Prepare your 2-cup microwave safe bowl. Grease the insides very well. Set the microwave-safe bowl aside.

Step 2

You want to melt the butter for your spicy chia pudding. Place your butter in a small microwave safe bowl. Place the bowl in the microwave. Melt the butter completely.

Step 3

Whisk in the large egg, amaretto syrup, erythritol, cinnamin, baking poweder, vanilla and salt. Make sure all of these ingredients are mixed well before adding the next one. Add the chia seeds last. Mix these into the batter well.

Step 4

Allow your pudding batter to sit for 10 minutes.

Step 5

Pour the pudding  batter into the greased 2-cup bowl. Microwave the pudding batter on high for 3 1/2 minutes. Afterwards, allow the cake sit for 5 minutes to finish the cooking process.

Step 6

While your cake is sitting, start your glaze for the cake. Do this by microwaving the butter for the glaze in the other small mixing bowl.

Step 7

Stir all the remaining glaze ingredients into the melted butter . Combine each ingredient well. Mix them until smooth.

Step 8

After your spicy Chia seed cake is finished cooking, carefully turn the bowl upside down onto a saucer to remove the cake.

Step 9

Spoon the glaze on the cake. Serve the chia seed cake while it’s still warm. Enjoy your spicy chia seed pudding cake.
