How to Make the Perfect Grilled Hamburger

Grilled hamburger is a very delicious recipe. It can be done quickly and it fun to do as well. Although it is a very simple task, having the perfect grilled burger is the main aim of this recipe.

  • fresh ground lean meat
  • grilling station
  • charcoal
  • salt and pepper
  • finely chopped onion
  • soy sauce
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • barbecue sauce
  • steak sauce
  • cheese

  1. Make sure you choose the perfect meat for your burger. The juiciest burgers are the ones with more fat. They are made from beef chuck and let your butcher grind it. You can also buy a chuck of beef and you can grind it using your own meat grinder.
  2. You can also use different types of meat. The most common meat to be used is ground beef. However, you can mix beef with pork, or lamb with chicken or you can also try mixing beef with buffalo.
  3. Flavor the meat with seasonings according to your preference. You can use barbecue sauce, steak sauce or Worcestershire sauce. However, do not over season it or over handle it. It will ruin the fat and may affect the taste. Use a spoon in adding seasoning to the meat. Add just a teaspoon of these sauces. You can also use wine to add flavor to the beef.
  4. Make hamburger patties one half inch thick and the same diameter as the hamburger bun. Do not make it too thick because it will take long to cook it.
  5. Prepare the grilling station. You can use charcoal or gas grill.
  6. Place oil on the grate before putting your hamburger patties so that they will not stick on the metal.
  7. Start putting burgers on the grill. Cook them for four to five minutes and turn them once in a while to prevent overcooking them. Check on them so that you can cook the perfect hamburger grill. Prevent from pressing down the burgers because it squeezes away the juices from the meat. Do not move the burger patties until it will release its oil naturally. You can also use a thermometer to cook the burger. You need to cook the patties until 160 degrees Fahrenheit. If you rather have it medium rare, you can go with lower degrees.
  8. You can add cheese on top of the burger for additional taste.
