How to Know if Your Ex Wants You Back

Relationships have end roads.  One is the road to happily ever after, and one leads to a dead end. Sometimes when a relationship ends, even it was mutually decided you cannot control feelings of getting back together. Over the time of separation, one person might realize he or she is still in love with the past partner. When this happens frustration crawls in. You try to figure out if your ex feels the same way and if the sparks could eventually fly again. But determining if your ex feels the same way can be difficult.

  • Calls you. Although it has been months since the two of you separated, you ex calls you nonstop. He asks how your day has been and how you have been. This indicates your ex still cares about you. Bonus is if he has been calling you more often than he did when the two of you were still an item.

  • Twin rebound. You see your ex with a date who could be mistaken for your long-lost twin. If you find your ex hanging out at places she knows you would be with someone who looks and acts the same way as you, chances are your ex is still attracted to you.
  • Visits your house and hangs out with your family. This might seem weird, but if your ex visits your house or your family’s house more frequently than before, he might be testing the water about whether to get back with you again. Your ex knows one of the surest ways to get to you is through your family.
  • Gives you a gift and remembers special occasions. You ex greets you on your birthday and sends you gifts. Your ex remembers your past anniversary. These indicate you still mean something to him. Remembering such events means these are still plastered in his mind.
  • Spying on you. Your friends have told you your ex has been asking for updates about you. Exes know who your confidants and friends are. Without having to directly go to you and risk being rejected, they use your friends as information sources.
  • Rebound. Your ex has been hanging out with at least five dates every week. Rebounds serve as distractions from the pain the break up caused. If even after a few months your ex is still going through a series of rebounds, her feelings toward you might still be there.
  • Keeps your gifts. He still wears the shirt you gave him. She still uses the bag you gave her. If he or she is truly over you, it would be easier for your ex to let go of the things that are significant reminders of you.
