How to Cut a Pineapple


The word pineapple conjures up images of a fruit which is savory and delectable. The fruit has a tough exterior but inside it is juicy and delicious. The only thing that forces you to ignore it when you see it sitting on the shelf with all the other colorful companions looking so inviting it is its exterior which gazes back at you looking so unfriendly. There is nothing to get disheartened as there is a very safe and easy method to get rid of its menacing exterior.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • a deep bowl
  • gloves (for dealing with the threatening exterior – preferably tough rubber ones)
  • chopping board
  • a big knife with a sharp blade

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. So to get started, clean up the area where you are going to do your operation pineapple break as he can be a very tricky and prickly customer put on your gloves. Now keep your clean chopping board on the work station always remember to have a separate ones for your fruits so that they are able to retain a fresh and original flavor.
  2. Now take this prickly fruit and place it under running water. Just remember to wash before cutting as the contamination can go with the knife right inside the fruit and mix with the juices.
  3. Place the pineapple on the center of your chopping board. Hold it firmly at the center so you can slice it straight through and through.
  4. So this is the time to make use of the sharpest knife you at your place as this will be our weapon to get the menacing exterior off. First chop off both the sides bottom and the top this can be done exactly in the same manner as you slice your bread.
  5. Now you can make the pineapple stand on your cutting board then hold it from the top and keep your fingers at least two inches away from where you are planning to cut. Now following the curve start slicing the side to the south following the natural curve of the fruit because if you slice straight down you will be wasting a lot of fruit. Continue cutting the skin till you have chopped it off from all sides .Now once again give the fruit a wash and even wash your cutting board
  6. Place the pineapple on the board it is ready for you to cut it into chunks. Again make it stand on your chopping board. Now slice the fruit at the center take the knife through its core which has a sort of pale and bamboo look.
  7. Now cut the fruit in half and the cut each further into half and then cut it into chunks size and shape can be of your choice. Remove the core completely .Now you can place your chunks in a bowl and feast on them.
