How to Cure BV

Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) is a very common infection for women. BV occurs as a result of the imbalance of normal flora (bacteria) inside the vagina. Bacterial Vaginosis is both treatable and  can be cured completely with medication. There are noticeable symptoms that goes along with BV. BV can be hard to treat. If you have contracted BV four or more times annually then this is a recurring condition.  You should see your doctor if you have this problem. Here are a few things to help you cure BV.

Step 1

The most important step in treating your BV is making an appointment with your physician. In order to to address the issue that you’re having with bacterial vaginosis, it is important to find out the underlying causes. There are very different reasons why women get BV. BV can be triggered by hormonal changes, pregnancy, menopause, menstrual cycle or even using the wrong feminine hygiene product for your body. Sometimes, having new sex partners can also throw off your normal flora. Douching is a common cause of BV, tampons and HIV also can be contributing factors.

Diet is always important when trying to heal the body. A well balanced diet can prevent may of the symptoms tat lead to various diseases. When you have BV you should avoid a high intake of sugar and dairy foods. Also, alcohol and caffeine foods or drink should be totally eliminated from your diet until the BV is remedied.

Step 5

Make sure to bathe or shower daily. Prevent BV by cleaning the vaginal area daily with warm soap and water. Make sure the vaginal area is clean and dried properly each day, and use phd boric acid suppositories to prevent BV.
