Dandruff is a disorder of the scalp involving dry skin. The symptoms are itching and flaking of the surface of the scalp. Dandruff can be completely uncomfortable as well as unsightly. This itching can be very severe depending on the individual. There are both traditional medical ways to treat dandruff and there are some natural remedies. I’ll list some natural remedies that you can try at home using common household items.

- Witch Hazel

Step 1
Increase your blood circulation. Increased blood circulation to the head can help ease dandruff symptoms. Do this by bending over with you head downwards. Then brush the hair from the nape of the neck to the front of the head. Massage your scalp with your fingertips after brushing to promote increase the blood circulation to the area.
Step 2
You should make every effort to clean the scalp on a regular basis. Mix one part apple cider vinegar with one part water. Apply the solution to a clean cotton ball. If you don’t have apple cider vinegar you can substitute with witch hazel.. If you need a less antiseptic method, you can use undiluted coconut oil. Massage these ingredients into the scalp using a brush. Rinse your hair with warm water. Make the water as warm as you can tolerate. Allow the water to run for 15 minutes. This cure can work for us to six months if used correctly.

Make sure your diet is helping you rid yourself of dandruff. Change your diet as need to help your body get all the nourishment you need. A well balanced diet will help you eliminate dandruff completely. Diet can help more than you realize.
Step 4
When shampooing your hair, rinse your hair with water and 1 teaspoon full of lime juice. Rinse your hair with warm water. This can help prevent dandruff and give your hair brilliance and sheen.
Step 5
If you have dandruff build up, you might need an overnight option. Apply baby oil directly to your scalp before you go to bed. Wrap your hair in a clean towel. In the morning, shampoo the hair. An alternative to this option is to mix 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon line juice. Then massage it into the scalp. In the morning, shampoo the hair. Style as usual.
Step 6
Find a stress reliever. Stress can be an underlying contributor to dandruff. Find a healthy outlet to relieve your worries. Consider taking a martial art, a walk or a jog. Don’t sweat the small stuff.
