How to Cook Pork Loin in the Oven

Pork loin or tenderloin is simply one of the best meat dishes you can serve during dinner or party. But the question is which cooking method in order to get the perfect meat? The answer is solely depends on you. If you do not want to cook outdoors, you can cook using the oven. The oven will give you hassle-free cooking for pork loin and eventually get properly cooked tenderloin that you have been looking for.

To add more flavours, you can cook steamed zucchini as for the side dish plus applesauce. You can also serve pork loin with rice or mashed potatoes. These three will definitely give more colour and flavour to a much awaited and fully cooked tenderloin which will surely make your entire family and guests mouths’ water.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • salt
  • black pepper (fresh and cracked)
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil
  • 1 1/2 pounds of pork tenderloin
  • 1/4 teaspoon of dried chives
  • 1/4 teaspoon of oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon of marjoram

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Prepare the tenderloin, remove it from the wrapper and place it on a platter.
  2. Preheat the oven for about 375 degrees F.
  3. Put the meat on a baking dish with a measurement of about 9×13.
  4. In a bowl mix the following: wine or balsamic vinegar, olive oil, dried chives, marjoram, and oregano. With the use of a fork stir the mixture well.
  5. Then, pour the mixture right on top of the meat. Flip it once or maybe twice to make sure that the meat is fully covered by the herbs and spices mixture.
  6. Be sure not to place any lid or cover over the meat and put it right inside the oven. Let it cook for about 45 minutes or so.
  7. After, remove the meat from the oven. Tent it with the use of an aluminium foil and let it sit in room temperature for about 10-15 minutes.
  8. Carve the tenderloin diagonally. Then, serve the meat with rice, with zucchini (steamed) and plus yummy applesauce to complete the dish.

Note: Be sure not to overcook the tenderloin. This will lead to a tough as well as dry meat which for sure does not suit your taste. Let the meat cook properly to get that juicy and delicious tenderloin to serve for your family or guests.
