How to Restore a Database with PhpMyAdmin


If you are looking to restore a Database, this tutorial can help you out. This is not a difficult thing to do but utmost care is required while doing so. To restore a database with phpMyAdmin, follow the instructions below:

  • On the homepage of your cPanel, click on the phpMyAdmin icon under “Databases”.

How to Restore a Database with PhpMyAdmin

  • Click the Structure button.
  • Click the Check All link.

  • Select Drop from the drop down menu.

  • You will be prompted to confirm whether you want to delete the tables. Choose Yes.

Delete the tables

  • When the tables are deleted, click on the Import button.

Import Button

  • Select the database file you want to restore from your computer.

  • When you are done, click on the Go button.

Go Button

  • You will be informed when the Import is successfully finished.
