How To Make Muffins


Muffins are a small, round, usually sweet bread, baked in a pan. Muffins prepared using banana are more delicious which can be prepared simply or by adding flavors like orange, chocolate chips, blueberries, strawberry etc. These tastes as like as sweet cakes which are baked in different sizes and shapes. Kids like these muffins a lot compared to adults. Probably muffins are served with tea. But, it can also be served for breakfast. During the muffin preparation itself your mouth will be watering. The steps to be followed for sweet banana muffin preparation are as follows:

Banana date muffins:

Ingredients

  • Ripe bananas                     –              3 no’s
  • Whole wheat flour                          –              1 ½ cups
  • Chopped dates                 –              ½ cups
  • Peeled, shredded apple               –              1 cup
  • Skim milk                                             –              ½ cup
  • Fructose                                              –              ½ cup
  • Bran                                                       –              ½ cup
  • Baking powder                  –              1 teaspoon
  • Egg whites                                          –              2 no’s

Preparation:

Except the egg whites and milk, add all the remaining ingredients in a large bowl and mix the mixture well till it moistens. Take the white eggs in a small bowl, beat it and by the time add the milk to it slowly and stir them well till they mix thoroughly. Combine the mixture prepared in the small bowl with the mixture prepared in the large bowl. Now pour this mixture in the muffin tin and for about 350 degree F for 20 to 25 minutes this mixture is baked in the preheated oven.

Strawberry Banana crunch muffins:

Ingredients:

  • Whole wheat flour                                          –              1 cup
  • Splenda (no calorie sweetener)                –              ½ cup
  • Large banana                                     –              1 no
  • Kashi Golean Crunch Cereal        –              ½ cup
  • Strawberries                                                      –              1 cup
  • Applesauce                                                        –              2 teaspoons
  • Baking powder                                  –              ½  teaspoon
  • Whole milk                                                         –              ½ cup
  • Ground cinnamon                                           –              1 teaspoon
  • Baking soda                                                        –              1 teaspoon
  • Vanilla extract                                   –              1 teaspoon
  • Sea salt                                                 –              ¼  teaspoon
  • Eggbeaters                                                         –              ½ cups

Preparation:

Flour, cereal, sweetener, baking soda, baking powder and salt are added in a large bowl and mixed well. The remaining ingredients are added separately in another bowl and mixed well. Now, this mixture is combined with the mixture which was prepared earlier. The combined mixture is stirred well till it moistens. The mixture is poured and evenly distributed in the greased muffin cups. The mixture poured in the muffin cups are baked at 350 degree F for about 15 to 20 minutes or until the tops turn golden in the preheated oven.
