How to be Good Neighbors

No matter if you are moving into a new neighborhood or still living in the current one, being a good neighbor is a lifelong accomplishment. Some will find other neighbors demanding or very quiet. This is a good time to show your friendship and be a good neighbor. Here are some suggestions on how to be good neighbors:

As always, a great casserole or cake usually breaks the ice with neighbors. This shows them your kindness, friendship, and trust.

Take the time to offer mowing your neighbor’s lawn while you are doing yours. This is another kind act that can show a person to be good neighbors.

Offer to help whenever you can. Everyone needs help occasionally. Helping when you can also opens the opportunity that you might have help too when you need it.

Good Neighbors

Treat your neighbors with respect. Are you the type of person that likes to listen to loud music? Play the music and ask the neighbors if it bothers them. This way, you can adjust the sound and the times in which you play loud music.

Keeping an eye out when neighbors are gone can also make you a good neighbor. This will help with any break-ins or trouble going on when they are gone. Everyone needs an eye on his or her home when they are away.

Help with keeping a close eye on children when they are out playing. Invite the neighbor’s children over to help their parents with free time.

Being a good neighbor is not just saying hi, when getting home from work. Help when possible is truly the best neighbor to have. Being a good neighbor will help everyone become good neighbors.

Be a good neighbor today; say more than just hi next time.
