How to Bake a Cake?


It’s quite simple to go to a store and buy a cake or else you also have the option of buying the cake mix in the box. In case if you are not so keen in having the readymade cake you also have another choice left with you and that is of having a homemade cake. Infact, it is not only easy but also quite simple to bake a cake. Although you should be careful at every step, still the following these steps would really prove to be quite beneficial when learning how to make a cake on your own.

Required Ingredients: 2 ½ cups of all purpose flour, 2/3 cup butter, 2 ½ tea spoon of baking powder, 1 ¼ cup of milk, 2 eggs, ½ tea spoon of salt, 1 ½ tea spoon of vanilla, 1 tub of frosting (it might be any flavor) and 1 ¾ cups of sugar

Required equipments: Two 8”round baking pans, 1 Large bowl, 1 small bowl, oven, tooth pick and cake mixer.

Instructions:

Cake

  1. Pre-heat the oven to about 375°. Prepare the baking pans. Use the 2 eight inch round pans; grease the round pans and lightly flour them.
  2. Mix the flour with baking powder and salt in the small bowl and keep it aside.
  3. Beat the butter in large bowl. Add vanilla and sugar and keep on beating continuously. Add each egg at a time and keep on beating until the mixture is even
  4. Add the flour mixture, which is dry and add the above mix to it. Ensure that you are mixing it well so that the batter is more even.
  5. Batter must be poured evenly into 2 pans. Bake it for about 30 to 35 minutes. Stick the toothpick in to one of the cake. If the cake comes out cleanly, then remove the pans. If there is any cake mixture on toothpick, then leave it for baking for sometime again. Every few minutes, keep on checking the cake.
  6. When the cake is done, then for about ten minutes place them on the wire racks. Keep it in the baking pans. After 20 minutes, remove the cake from the baking pan and allow it to cool completely so that it is fully cooled.
  7. Once the cake is thoroughly cooled, then it has to be frosted. Begin icing the top of the cake. Place the other cake one the frosted cake. Then frost the top and sides of the second cake as well and now you’re finished with the cake and is ready to eat.
