How to Add a User to the MySQL Database


Administrators can define which users have priviledge with the databse. For example, the user will be able to add or delete the database.

To add a user to the MySQL database, follow the instructions below.

Procedure:

1. On the homepage of your cPanel, click the MySQL Databases icon under Databases.

2. Under Add User to Database, select the username which you want to add to the specific database from the User drop down menu.

3. Under the Add User to Database, select the appropriate database from the Database drop down menu.

4. Click on the Add button.

5. You have successfully added the user to the database.
