How to Add a Date Box to Your Website through cPanel

cPanel has a function called Counter where you can create a date box for your website. The date box will show the current date on the webpage where the code is inserted. The function can be accessed in the CGI Center in cPanel.

To create a date for your website, follow the instructions below:

Procedure:

  • On the homepage of your cPanel, click CGI Center under Softwares / Services.
  • Click on the Counter link.
  • Under Please select functionality, choose Date.

  • Under Please select Format, choose the date format. There are 6 format you can choose from including DDMMYY, MMDDYY, YYDDMM, DDYYMM, YYMMDD, and MMYYDD. The D refers to the date, M refers to the month and Y refers to the year.  An example of DDMMYY is 12 February 2005.
  • Under Please select Frame Color, enter the hexadecimal values for the frame color. You can also pick a color through the color selector provided by cPanel. After you have chosen a color, click on the x in the upper right corner of the color selector.

  • The Color Replacer allows you replace all the colors in one instance. To replace a color, click on the multicolor tool box on the right of the source color. You can increase and decrease the value of a color by clicking on the “+” and “-”.
  • To preview the date box, click on the preview button. cPanel does not limit you the times which you can view the clock.
  • If you are satisfied with the preview, click on the html button.
  • The html code for the clock will appear. Copy the code beginning with <img src= and end with >.
  • After that, paste the code into the place where you want the hit counter to appear on a web page.
